Cat Show.

And the Ribbon goes to..
The Wide Eye Persian!!!

These r some of the pics taken at the Cat Show.As you see,the cats don't really look that excited,I guess they felt like babies in a crowded environment. We would feel the same, with the noise and commotion going around.
This Maine Coon just do not want to open his eyes for us,He is kind of big with features of a Lynx.Well, may be he is tired or perhaps bored.
There were several booth called Rings, where they had judges judging some cats categories, some cats r alert(1st pic) n playful, mostly the House pets. That lady in white had 4 cats to give away for adoption. Her cats r all well taken care.
The end of the event came with best cat (sorry did not get the category)title given to this little wide eye Persian. She was all eyes to my hubby's camera!
The only thing we can't do much was look at the cats because they were all kept(by their owners)in a tent like caged, some had drapes covering them and their owners were protective.
All in all,we enjoyed the show and had a better understanding of cats and we went home to Bubble and feeling Cattented!

What a meeting!

As promised earlier, this is d picture of the cats' meeting.I was not aware of it till my daughter said "Wah banyaknya kucing!" So I had a look n said"Get the camera, quick!" the cats just lingered there sniffing at the female cat(the multi colored) n she just ignore them.
They did not make any sound just seems to be moving around, like guarding her. They do make a nice congregation. They were there for almost half an hour before the female decided to make a move and of course the males made a bee line right behind her,so thus end a nice Cats' Day Together.

To begin again.

Hari raya is over and I am back to my Tai Chi exercise, with much persuasion from myself! Well after not going during Ramadan and missing for all those ten more minutes in bed.So pull myself away from the luxuries of blanket and pillows and gingerly putting on my Tai Chi attires..got to get over this tugging behind my mind.

So tomorrow starts another day of warm up and Tai Chi Qong and Yellow Band Exercise. After these absence the body goes Whoa, here have you been? and Sifu goes"Whaa Lisa sudah balik aa,ada ingat ka?"at least no one commented on my waist line.

Aerobic is one exercise that had me puffing and huffing not much of sweating, compare to TaiChi because I enjoyed the music more then the adrenaline pumping moves.Even my friends doing the Line Dancing had us going..Don't think we can catch up! No,we are not slow neither are we forgetful but it is not one particular interest, maybe 15 years ago.

Even in Tai Chi there are so many steps to remember but I believe with the balancing, breathing technic and concentration,we came along way,as for Beau, he is into cycling, jogging and doing his 80 push ups.Hush,I think he's into Line Dancing with his other Tai Chi friends.

So comes tomorrow I'll be Chasing the Dragon or Floating among the Clouds with Kak Pah,Maria,Ranee,Aunty Teng,Sharon to name a few.Where else can you exercise and gossip at the same time...HaHaHa.

To begin again.

Hari Raya is over now, life is back to normal, for me that is.Back to Quran classes and my kind of exercise. No not aerobic, that is much too fast for me,I'll be huffing and puffing and most probably hardly sweating. The music is catchy though, even my friends line dancing seems Cha Cha enough.

I started my Tai Chi last week, after much persuasion from myself! It's only half an hour session but it can make you sweat, just like aerobic, that i can assure you.So early Monday morning I was there with a couple of my Long Time No See friends, while most of the other malay ladies were still into their Puasa Enam.

So Sifu was happy with my return and kept saying "Wah Lisa sudah balik haa".We started off with warming up and thus followed up with the Tai Chi Qong and finished with our latest Yellow Band work out. Whoa, the body was like"where were you a month ago?"but then it was great feeling all loosen up and flexible, more of able to stretch down a few inches more then last week.

Tai Chi, some thing that most women or men,do not find that impressive because I believe of the slow motion movement and more of the oldies group.I believe it's what you find in it that makes you want to be a part of the group. The learning of breathing, balancing and mostly to do with concentration. Well,at least I can stand now with my one foot bend.Beau? Well he's into cycling, jogging and doing his 80 push up..well he is my Macho man! Most of the time people mistaken him for my nephew!

So tomorrow starts another Tai Chi day,InsyaAllah it does not rain so we all can gather and start Chasing the dragon or Floating among the clouds,to name a few.Not only it is good to exercise but the bond between Kak Pah, Maria,Aunty Teng,Ranee,Sharon and many more friends that matters.Where else can you exercise and gossip at the same time..hahaha.

Food..Glorious Food!

Glorious,Sumptuous,Heavenly,Aha Sinful, what else can i describe the food that we have been consuming these past few days, thanks to Open Houses. I went to a friend's house twice just to celebrate Sifu's birthday, the latter occasion,as early as 8 am,with my Tai Chi friends mind you,(at least i don't feel so guilty).

What a spread the host laid for us,we were Ya Allah banyaknya..Oh,Ah,My my..Sifu was so touched, she was close to tears not that she shed any. Well we had a"A full to the brim",if you say that and some said it is ok, for we had it after Tai Chi, don't think that will work.

Tomorrow there is 2 invitation both from 4pm till night, wonder how much we can really eat, it's not that i am complaining but we just love to see our guest eat..don't you think so.
Beau is not into these Open Houses, don't get me wrong,Oh he loves to go when he's invited
but he sadden to know if the host has to do everything from dawn till dusk, nope till mid-night i.e. Unless you cater, than that's different and doing yourself a favour but i think it'll burn a hole in your pocket.

Well, what ever one has one's opinion about these occasion,it does not matter for we Malaysian are proud of such events and it goes well with Chinese New Year, Deepavali and Xmas. Though some times they too be serving rendang and briyani,it just seems to taste better than the 1st house.

So,do i want to go to the invites, sure, don't think i want to miss for some host out there might
be serving Roast Lamb, Mee rebus, Laksa Johor, Nasi Dagang and all those Glorious Food..
after these consumption, Beau says he run 10 kilometer!! Me,I'll wait for him to come home and take me for some Thosai.

Happy Families.

They came on the 4th day of Syawal, Lan and family, Along K and Tok Ma and of course Pok Su,all from Dungun.though Pok Su resides in Wangsa Maju. It has been sometime since we last saw each other. It is rather fun to have some extra activities at home. Beau of course was the perfect host,up and about after Subuh, preparing breakfast, me,well..I am always lucky..tell you some other time k!

Tok Ma is not so well, she sort of forget things or people, at present that is but the past are still fresh in her mind. What ever is harbouring her mind she sleeps it off,and boy can she really sleeps. I do miss her old self. We took her to SACC, Beau scoots her around in a wheel chair, took her and Along K to Asiari for lunch, since Lan took his family plus Aishah to, yep..you guess right. They had a whale of a time at Aquaria..so the next day, Tok Ma not only forgot she went out but she just cannot remember she was here.,poor darling.

Thinking back, Allah is great by given this little empty space to Tok Ma,she free from the hassle of life, Allah's wonder,no one knows.

The family were here for 4 days and we had cooked for them Khasmir rice, Taijin chicken, Morocco Rice pudding, English Bread pudding,Penang fish curry, Assam Pedas Melaka and mixed vege. Wanted to cook Masak lemak daging salai and Persian Chicken but looks like that will be for the next visit.

They have left and the house is quiet once more lest the four girls get together but they are out with Pok Su. As for today, with invitations for open houses and a wedding to go tomorrow,

I think I will go and see what to wear. Start enjoying the Rumah Terbuka..

Raya in K.L

It's the 3rd day of Syawal..Salam Eid Mubarak to all. This morning, beau decided to treat the two girls by taking them to Aquaria..boy were they excited especially me! Had breakfast at KLCC,took some pictures earlier in the park. By the time we were getting the tickets..phew panjangnya queue..looks like we are not the only wanting to see the fishes!

We had a great time mostly during the Fish Feeding time..Shifa kept saying..Umi yang excited..well siapa tak, tengok ikan ikan tu swirling around the diver. Before that we took 2 rounds in the tunnel, siap flying kisses dengan Mermaid lagi. Beau of course click here click there, everywhere click click!!

Sayangnya my 2 elder gals tak dapat ikut..working,may be next time.

After lunch followed by Banana Split..yummy, it's back home. We really enjoyed today and thanks beau..K.L Towers tomorrow perhaps?

The children's khatam Quran.

Well, looks like the khatam Quran session is over being today is the children's turn. 19 of them turn up,the girls being well dressed and the boys..well being boys at this age ,i think Tees and track bottom should do it. We started at 6pm,since Ustazah Rahmah had not arrive yet and the children were getting restless.
The children read the best and the loudest they could and we ended with Ustazah reading the Doa Khatam. The Nazir then handed over gifts, cash that is, after a brief thank you and hope for next year attendance.
Drinks and packs of biscuits were given out with the boys clamoring on top another for it while the girls look with wide eyes..Boys!!
So thus ends another good productive event for Ramadan. I am sure the children will look forward to next Tadarus cause i will..InsyaAllah.

Muslimah's Khatam Quran.

At 9 am this morning, we the 14 ladies completed our tadarus by having our khatam quran. Every one came dressed to the teeth..we are always well dressed! I started with the doa and begins the surah Ad Dhuha followed by Bong and the rest. Nobody made any mistake reading, must be the adrenaline pumping for perfection.

We heard one sad news that our La Tahzan Ustaz has been struck by lightning in Jerantut while performing Terawih and had been admitted to the hospital and we pray for his best safe and speedy recovery.

Tomorrow I will oversee the children's khatam quran with Ustazah Rahmah and I hope and know that the children too will be reciting to their best.

InsyaAllah till then, lets end this beautiful Ramadan with the hope to meet again with the next Ramadan.

Berbuka at Kak Yan's house.

Yesterday my brother, sisters and their families break our fast at Kak Yan's house. We all brought some dishes while Kak Yan provided rice, drinks and her sambal belacan!!. Omar and
family could not make it, not for the 1st time though. Hopefully there will be a 1st time.

We arrive right on the dot to break fast since beau took a detour but then it did not matter, the drive was fun..going through areas like Kota Damansara, Sunway.. some thing! Malik came much later, he too happen to take the same route.

Right after azan we perform the solat Maghrib and then it was chow time. We had rendang, cooked by the Macho man, masak lemak ayam by Jad, plus very nice Roti Arab. Anna brought Kuay Teow and lots of ulam while Akih bawa Ayam Mas and fruits..bestnya makan,Alhamdulillah.

After solat Isyak,Imam by beau we preform the Terawih and it was wonderful doing it together. At this age, gathering with the families means a lot, especially most of us are not well with age catching up but deep down in our heart we will always be young and noisy, kepuh and loud and loving every moment of it.

I hope to have another gathering soon, may be at my house and this time I hope Omar can come, insyaAllah.

Tadarus classes

Today being 23 Ramadan marks the end of the children's tadarus class held every evening at Masjid An-Nur. The Khatam Quran will be on Tuesday 27th Ramadan, the children were excited, asking every possible question as to what to be recited and will they receive any gifts or certificate. I think they will and I hope this tadarus classes continues for the coming Ramadan.
The Muslimah's tadarus classes will end tomorrow with Surah Ad Dhuha and we will khatam on Monday the 26th Ramadan, all 12 of us, it is a great feeling to be able to recites and laugh at each other reading mistakes, knowing that none of us takes it to heart. After all that's what tadarus is all about, reciting and correcting one's error and leaving the class feeling great.
I pray to be healthier next year, insyaAllah, so i do not have to miss the terawih with my family and friends.
Azam's dietary standard for the family this Ramadan seems to work, looks like we will keep it on, thanks beau, you are a gem.
